ABOUT Cabbage/Onion Pakoras... RECIPE

Yummy, spicy and hot pakoras are always welcome at tea time. Cabbage and onion both are mixed in these lovely crunchy snack by me just for a change. Made almost like any other pakoras, they taste much delicious with the addition of cabbage. Enjoy Monsoon with these super duper pakoras with your loved ones. Happy Frying Folks !!!!!!!!

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Cabbage shredded 2 cups
  2. Onions thinly sliced 3
  3. Gram flour or besan 1/2 cup
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Ginger shredded 1 tbsp
  6. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  7. coriander powder 1 tsp
  8. Red chilli powder 2 tbsp
  9. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  10. Asafoetida 2 pinches
  11. Parsley finely chopped a handful
  12. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a wide bowl.
  2. Next add the gram flour to it
  3. Mix it well with your hands without using a drop of water.
  4. I used parsley. However coriander can also be used.
  5. Allow it to rest atleast for 15 minutes.
  6. Deep fry in batches on medium flame in hot oil.
  7. Use your hands to drop these in hot oil so that they get evenly spread and get more crispier and crunchier.
  8. Serve hot with any chutney of your choice.
