Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1-1/2 cups sifted cake flour
  2. 1/4 tsp Salt
  3. 1Tablespoon cocoa powder
  4. 1/4 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  5. 1/2 cup plus 4 tablespoon sugar
  6. 1 Large Egg room temperature
  7. 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  8. 1 tablepoon red food coloring
  9. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  10. 1/2 Tsp distilled vinegar or lemon juice
  11. cream cheese frosting recipe follows
  12. 1-8oz cream cheese room temperature
  13. 1-8oz mascarpone cream cheese
  14. 1 cup sifted powdered sugar
  15. 1 tsp vanilla extract


  1. preheat the oven to 350F or 180 C.Line the cake pan with parchment paper
  2. Sift the cake flour with salt and cocoa powder
  3. in an electric mixer or hand mixer beat the butter and sugar together to get creamy
  4. Add egg vanilla extract and buttermilk to it and mix well
  5. add the sifted flour to it
  6. add baking soda and vinegar into a small bowl mix it till it gets fizzy
  7. add the mixture to it and add food color
  8. Transfer the batter to the prepared pans evenly! bake it for about 25-30 mins or the tooth pick inserted in it comes out clean
  9. once the cake is cool...add frosting to it.
  10. for cream cheese frosting mix all ingredients together except heavy cream
  11. In an electric mixer beat the cream using wire whisk beat it until peak stiff forms
  12. fold the cream into cream cheese mixture and it should b spread cream consistency
  13. slice the cake into half and place the bottom cake into cake board.Spread the cream cheese mixture and place the another cake on top and spread it with cream cheese and decorate it as u like,
