Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Milk Powder -1 Cup
  2. All purpose flour/ maida -3.5 tbsp
  3. Baking soda - quarter tsp olny
  4. Curd /yogurt - 2tbsp
  5. (can add required milk instead)
  6. Ghee -1tbsp
  7. Salt a pinch
  8. Oil/ghee fir frying
  9. For Sugar Syrup:
  10. Sugar -1.5 cups
  11. Water -2 cups
  12. Caradamom powder -half tsp
  13. Lemin juice -1tsp

Instructions

  1. Sieve together all the dry ingredients to a large bowl.
  2. Combine curd and ghee well and add it to the sifted flour.
  3. Knead it well to a soft sticky dough. You must knead it very well which makes the perfect jamuns.
  4. Do not be panic if it is sticky and do not add more curd or milk fir kneading.
  5. Just press the dough with your greased palm and knead several times. When done, set aside covered. Let it stay for 5-10 mins while you make the syrup..
  6. Now make sugar syrup.
  7. Now deep fry the balls over a low flame.
  8. Stirring gently with a spoon occasionally. Fry until golden. Drain to a paper towel and immediately dip it in hot sugar syrup.
  9. Let them soak for minimum 2 hours. Once cooled ,keep refrigerated for few hours for the best result.
