Ingredients to make RED POORI

  • maida flour - 1/4 kg
  • salt - 1 spoon
  • beetroot - 2 medium sized ,peeled chopped and made into a fine paste
  • oil - to deep fry

How to make RED POORI

  1. peel the beetroot and chop theem roughly,using a mixer blend them to smooth paste.
  2. if the beetroot is too dry add 2 tbsp. of water to help grind without lumps
  3. in a mixing bowl add maida flour salt and beetroot puree.mix well and knead to stiff dough without adding any water
  4. knead for 2 minutes and divide the dough into small balls.roll each ball and flatten it, dust with flour and roll into flat disks without making it too thin or too thick.
  5. repeat the same until all the dough has been into disks.heat oil in a kadai medium flame
  6. slide the disks into the hot oil and fry them, the poori will puff up and now flip the side and fry it again for 20 seconds.
  7. serve immediately hot with mango pickle
