Yummy fish curry goes well with roti and some steamed rice as well.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. whole Red chilli 10
  2. Fish 1o to 12 pieces
  3. Ginger a small piece
  4. Garlic 6 pods
  5. Onion 2 medium size
  6. Tomato 2
  7. Tamarind a lemon size
  8. Turmeric powder 1/2 tspn
  9. Coriander 1 tspn
  10. Jeera [cumin seeds] 1 tspn
  11. Mustard seeds 1/4 tspn
  12. Methi [fenugreek seeds] 1/4 tspn
  13. Pepper powder 1/4 tspn
  14. Coriander leaves handful
  15. Coconut oil 3,tblspn
  16. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. At first clean and wash the fish , and cut into pieces. keep aside
  2. Then grind the red chilly,coriander,Jeera,Methi,musturd,tamarind,ginger,garlic,onion and salt .make a smooth paste.
  3. Heat one tspn oil in pan,when oil is hot add onions,fry till it becomes light brown,add tomatoes,fry for three mins then add ground paste, and fry for three mins.
  4. Add fish pieces mix the masala carefully. add 1/4 cup water. drizzle remaining coconut oil,chopped coriander leaves in fish masala. cook on low flame for five to eight mins.
