ABOUT Baked Mango Yogurt RECIPE

A variant of much famous and easy Bengali dessert, Mishti Doi.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Hung curd/yogurt - 1 and 1/2 cups
  2. Sweetened condensed milk - 1 cup
  3. Mango puree (I used canned Alphonso puree) - 1 cup
  4. Fresh cream (Amul) - 1/2 cup
  5. Vanilla extract - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.
  2. In the meanwhile, mix all ingredients and whisk to a smooth batter.
  3. Pour the batter in ramekin moulds or in any oven-safe bowls and place them on a baking tray.
  4. Pop the tray in the oven and let them bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the middle of the ramekins feel jiggly.
  5. Once the yogurt cools down, place in refrigerator to chill for about 3 to 4 hours or until it is completely set.
  6. Serve with any fruit sauce of your choice; I served it with my homemade cherry sauce and some blueberries for that extra deliciousness.
