ABOUT Pearl Onions RECIPE

This is very simple but delicious recipe to be served with some rice or roti.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Onions 15 small size
  2. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  3. Onions fry paste 2 tbsp
  4. Lime juice 2 tbsp
  5. Oil 3 tbsp
  6. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  7. Dhaniya powder 2 tsp
  8. Red chilli powder 3 tsp
  9. Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
  10. Whole jeera 2 tsp
  11. Bay leaves 2 pieces
  12. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove onion' skin and wash . Heat oil in a pan ,add jeera , after add Ginger garlic paste sauté for 1 minute then add fried Onions paste, tomato paste, Ginger garlic paste,and all spices, sauté 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. After that add the onion pearls and sauté for 2 minutes more ,then add lime juice ,mix well and cover and cook on medium flame , until onions become soft.
  3. In between check onions and flip over( If needed water add little water). After 15-20 minutes , onions cook properly and all water is dry than add garam masala powder mix well and turn off the flame. Serve and enjoy.
