Phirni is a popular north indian delicacy. Mango phirni will be a perfect dessert for summers.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. rice 1/4 cup
  2. Ripped mango puree 250 ml
  3. Milk 1 litre
  4. Sugar 4 tbspn
  5. Cardamom powder 1 tspn
  6. Chopped/ Sliced Almonds 7-10
  7. Saffron strands 3-4

Instructions

  1. Soak rice for two hours.
  2. Grind it to a coarse mixture, just like rawa.
  3. Boil milk by simmering on low flame.
  4. When milk start to thickens add rice. Cook on low flame.
  5. When rice is cooked add sugar, almonds and saffron strands.
  6. Add cardomom powder. Cook for 2 minutes. Switch off the flame.
  7. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
  8. When it cools add mango puree and mix well.
  9. Refrigerate it and serve chilled.
