Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Whole milk 2 cups
  2. Sugar 1 cups
  3. Ghee ¼ cup
  4. semolina 1/4 cup
  5. cardamom powder 1 tsp
  6. Saffron 1 tsp
  7. Almonds, chopped
  8. Pistachios, chopped
  9. Vanilla essence 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. In a thick bottom pan add milk, sugar, semolina and ghee and mix well, now place it on heat and keep on whisking.
  2. Keep on cooking and stirring on medium high heat, at one stage you will see that the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and comes in one big mass around the spoon.
  3. Now add in 1 tbsp of ghee and essence mix well, this whole process will take around 20 minutes, divide the mixture into two, spoon one half in a parchment sheet which is lightly greased with ghee.
  4. Here, place another sheet of parchment and roll it using a rolling pin till it is thin to your liking and remove the parchment and sprinkle with the nuts mix, keep another paper over it and roll with a rolling pin again so the nuts stick to the halwa.
  5. Put this halwa in fridge for 2 to 4 hour.
  6. In the remaining half add food colour of your choice and mix well and repeat the same procedure by using rolling pin.
  7. Now cut it into squares and arrange it between sheets of parchment, here, sweet, tasty and mouth watering dessert is ready to serve. Enjoy!!!
