Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Pomfret fish (medium size) 4pc ( washed and cleaned)
  2. chopped onion - 2
  3. ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  4. turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  5. red chilly powder -1 tsp
  6. garam masala powder - 1/4 th tsp
  7. cumin powder - 1 tsp
  8. salt
  9. chopped tomatoes - 2
  10. refined oil

Instructions

  1. Dry the each fish using kitchen towel and make slits before marinating, marinate the fishes with little turmeric powder, salt and red chilly powder. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Now heat some oil in a pan, fry the marinated fishes on both sides, drain them and keep aside.
  3. Add some more oil in the pan, add the chopped onion, saute for some time till golden brown.
  4. add the ginger garlic paste and saute for few seconds, then add the chopped tomatoes , salt and the powdered spices, cover and cook for sometime. Add little water if the masala tends to get dry.
  5. Add the fried pomphret pieces, and mix, cover and cook for sometime, check for seasoning and serve.
