ABOUT Onion Mughlai Paratha RECIPE

Mughlai Paratha is popular bengali street food. Famous in kolkata, India and bangladesh. Authentic stuffed with minced meat, onion, egg, kheema,and pepper. But i made it with onion, roasted besan, filling. It is soft crispy shallow fried bread .

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  2. 1/2 cup wheat flour
  3. 1 tbsp Ghee for moyan
  4. Pinch of salt
  5. Water to knead the dough
  6. For stuffing
  7. 1 big onion finely chopped
  8. 2 big tablespoon roasted gram flour
  9. 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  10. 2pinch garam masala powder
  11. 1 green chilli finely chopped
  12. 1 tsp ginger grated
  13. Salt to taste
  14. 1 tsp cumin powder
  15. Pinch of freshly ground black pepper powder
  16. 1 tbsp Chopped caswhewnuts
  17. 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  18. Ghee/oil for shallow fry
  19. Water as needed

Instructions

  1. In a bowl seive all purpose flour and wheat flour
  2. Add salt , ghee and water as needed to make a soft dough. cover it and keep it aside.
  3. Arrange all ingredients.
  4. Take besan in a bowl
  5. Add chopped onion
  6. Add all spices and little water to make stuffing
  7. Now take peda of dough and roll it in thin chapati bigger than normal chapati
  8. Add stuffing
  9. Now fold it from all sides as envelope.
  10. Heat a tawa. Add ghee and put the paratha. Shallow fry it till golden brown in color from down side on low medium flame. Cook it on slow flame so stuffing can cook from inside and not will remain uncook.
  11. Flip it and cook it from other side in same way.
  12. Cook it on low medium flame with ghee . Tadaa ready..
  13. Serve it hot with any sauce or pickle.
