Onion Mughlai Paratha

Ingredients to make Onion Mughlai Paratha

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp ghee for moyan
  • Pinch of salt
  • water to knead the dough
  • For stuffing
  • 1 big onion finely chopped
  • 2 big tablespoon roasted gram flour
  • 1 tsp chilli Powder
  • 2pinch garam masala powder
  • 1 green chilli finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp Chopped caswhewnuts
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • ghee/oil for shallow fry
  • water as needed

How to make Onion Mughlai Paratha

  1. In a bowl seive all purpose flour and wheat flour
  2. Add salt , ghee and water as needed to make a soft dough. cover it and keep it aside.
  3. Arrange all ingredients.
  4. Take besan in a bowl
  5. Add chopped onion
  6. Add all spices and little water to make stuffing
  7. Now take peda of dough and roll it in thin chapati bigger than normal chapati
  8. Add stuffing
  9. Now fold it from all sides as envelope.
  10. Heat a tawa. Add ghee and put the paratha. Shallow fry it till golden brown in color from down side on low medium flame. Cook it on slow flame so stuffing can cook from inside and not will remain uncook.
  11. Flip it and cook it from other side in same way.
  12. Cook it on low medium flame with ghee . Tadaa ready..
  13. Serve it hot with any sauce or pickle.

My Tip:

To check paratha is cook properly or not stuck knife in center of paratha if stuffing didnt stick to knife it done.
