ABOUT Ripe mango curry RECIPE

A sweet, spicy and tangy curry which can be served chilled as a dessert.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Tiny ripe mangoes - 10-12
  2. Jaggery - 15 pieces
  3. Green chillies - 5
  4. Cornflour - 1 tbsp
  5. Salt to taste
  6. For seasoning :
  7. Mustard - 1/2 tsp
  8. Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  9. Red chilli - 2

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the mangoes.
  2. Take a vessel and boil these mangoes with jaggery and water.
  3. Once boiled, add slit green chillies, salt and cornflour-water mixture(for thickening) and mix well.
  4. Season with mustard, urad dal and red chilli.
  5. Serve hot or chilled.
