ABOUT Onion poha chuda RECIPE

Its a combination of paper poha and puffed rice with crispy fried onion. Very light and a healthy way to satisfy evening craving.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Puffed rice 1/2 kg
  2. Paper poha 250gm
  3. Onion thinly sliced 4
  4. Garlic 10-12 cloves long thin sliced
  5. Green chilli slited long 7-8
  6. Meetha neem 15-20 leaves
  7. 4-6 tbsp oil to fry
  8. Sugar 1 tsp
  9. Turmeric pwd 1/2 tsp
  10. white salt to taste
  11. Black salt 1/2 tsp
  12. Citric acid 2 pinch
  13. Asafoetida 2 pinch
  14. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  15. Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
  16. Groundnut 1/2 cup
  17. Dry roasted whole chana 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. In a frying pan *kadhai* dryly roast puff rice till it turns golden. take it out in a big bowl and let it cool.
  2. Now take paper poha in the same frying pan and roast it too in a medium flame till it turns golden and also it will become bit light in weight. Take it out from pan in a separate plate and let it cool.
  3. Pour oil in frying pan and fry ground nuts and take it out in a plate once it is fried.
  4. Now fry roasted chana in oil and take it out too in a plate.
  5. Now pour 4-5 tbsp oil in frying pan and add astofoeda, cumin seeds, fennel seeds and let it crackle.
  6. Now add meetha neem and green chilly and garlic and onion in frying pan.
  7. Add sugar, white salt and citric acid. Keep stirring till the onion turns golden brown and crispy. now add turmeric pwd keep stirring onion on low flame
  8. Add black salt, puffed rice and paper poha in fried onion. Now add fried groundnut and roasted and fried chana .Let all the things mix well in frying pan. Enjoy the chuda at anytime ।।
