Ingredients to make Kahwa

  • 2.5 cups - water
  • 5-6 - almonds slivered
  • 2 sticks - cinnamon broken into bits
  • 2 - cardamom lightly pounded
  • 1 - clove
  • 3 tsp - sugar
  • a few strands of saffron

How to make Kahwa

  1. Boil the water with sugar, cardamoms, cinnamon and clove for about 10 minutes.
  2. Strain the liquid, add the saffron strands and almonds, keep aside for 10-15 minutes or till you get the desired colour.
  3. Before serving, bring it to a boil. Serve.
