ABOUT Onion Curry RECIPE

Tradition Islamic every day recipe, which is served with some rice on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Onion - 250 gram
  2. Fenugreek - 1 tsp
  3. urad dal - 1 tbsp
  4. curry leaves - 10
  5. tamarind - gooseberry size
  6. Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  7. turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  8. oil - 2-3 tbsp
  9. salt - to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and keep aside.
  2. Soak the tamarind in half cup water.
  3. In apan heat oil, add fenugreek and urad dal, fry slightly and add chopped onions and salt to taste. Saute well.
  4. Add chilli powder and turmeric powder. Stir well.
  5. Add the extract of soaked tamarind water.Let it boil till the raw smell goes.
  6. Switch off. Now the onion curry is ready to taste.
