ABOUT Stuffed flower RECIPE

A beautiful flower shaped samosa filled with spiced filling, fried to perfection.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For dough
  2. 1/2 cup maida/aatta
  3. Salt according to taste
  4. Oil- 1 tsp
  5. Water1-2 tbsp
  6. For Filling
  7. Boil potato-2(mashed)
  8. Paneer- grated-1/2 cup
  9. Ginger ,chilli, garlic paste-1 tsp
  10. Finely chopped green chili-1
  11. Finely chopped- coriander
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
  14. Raw mango powder- 1/4 tsp
  15. Onion-1 finely chopped
  16. Sauf-1/4 tsp
  17. Salt to taste
  18. Asafoetida-pinch
  19. Garam masala-1/4 tsp
  20. Coriander seeds 1/4 tsp
  21. Oil 1 tbsp
  22. Curry leaves 8-9

Instructions

  1. For the dough, Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, Knead in to a stiff dough. Rest for 15 minutes or more
  2. For filling, heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  3. Now add chilli ginger paste, Stir for 2-3 minutes
  4. Add chopped onion and mashed potatoes, add all other ingredients and mix well.
  5. Remove from heat and set aside to cool
  6. now time for final presentation :
  7. Shape dough in to small balls. Roll the balls into round shape
  8. Cut into squares
  9. Fold all the four corners
  10. Turn it
  11. Put the mixture
  12. Again fold all corners
  13. Seal with the help of water
  14. Seal properly
  15. Turn it again
  16. Open all four corners , Once again turn it [you should be careful at this step otherwise this would break].
  17. The flowers are ready to be fried. Heat oil in a pan
  18. Deep fry till golden brown
  19. Serve with sauce and chutney
