Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Gulkand (kesari) 3 tablespoons
  2. Rice soaked 5 tablespoons
  3. Milk 2 1/2 + 1/4 cups
  4. Sugar 1/4 cup
  5. Rose syrup 4 tablespoons
  6. Pistachios chopped 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Put rice and ¼ cup milk in a mixer jar and grind coarsely
  2. Heat remaining milk in a non-stick pan and add ground rice. Cook, stirring continuously, till the rice is fully cooked and the mixture thickens
  3. Add sugar and gulkand, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour the phirni into the earthen kasore and drizzle a little rose syrup over each kasore.
  5. Garnish with pistachios
  6. Serve hot or chilled
