ABOUT Mango Malai Kulfi RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1 litre full fat milk
  2. 100 grams sugar
  3. 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  4. 4 tablespoon finely chopped almonds and pistachios
  5. 400 millilitre of mango pulp
  6. pinch of saffron
  7. 100 grams fresh cream

Instructions

  1. Start to heat up one litre of milk in a pan. let it come to boil and reduce to 1/2 of its quantity. Add the saffron strand and cook it along with the milk.
  2. Add sugar, boil for another 2 minutes.
  3. Add 3 tablespoon of chopped pistachios and almonds. Keep rest of it aside for garnishing.
  4. Add the mango pulp and cook for another 2 minutes. Add the cardamom powder and mix well. Now switch off the flame, let the mixture cool down completely.
  5. Now take a kulfi mold. Add the mixture into it. Top with chopped almonds and pistachios. On the top insert a stick and keep it in the freezer for 8 hrs to freeze, preferably overnight.
  6. When the kulfi sets nicely remove it from the mold garnish with chopped almonds and pistachios and serve.
