Chicken Korma

Ingredients to make Chicken Korma

  • chicken- 250 grams
  • onion - 1 chopped
  • tomato-1 (grinded)
  • ginger/garlic/green chilli paste - 3 tablespoons
  • coriander/cumin powder-2 tablespoons
  • lemon juice- 1 tablespoon
  • yogurt- 3 tablespoons
  • red chilli powder- 1 tablespoon
  • turmeric powder- 1/2 tablespoon
  • Brown onion-1 (grinded) & some for garnishing
  • Whole spices - 1/2 tablespoon black pepper corns and 1 bay leaf
  • salt- as per taste
  • cilantro- For garnishing
  • oil -2 tablespoons
  • water- 1 cup or as needed

How to make Chicken Korma

  1. Add oil in a wok, then add whole spices, put onions, saute it till the onion gets brown in colour.
  2. Than add the chicken, let it cook for 6-7 minutes, add grounded tomato ginger garlic paste and all the spices. Add yogurt, mix it well, let it simmer until the oil starts separating and the masala is cooked.
  3. Add water, let the chicken cook until its done. After the chicken is cooked add the grounded brown onions put lemon juice, garnish it with cilantro and some brown onions.
  4. Serve hot along with naan or paav.
