ABOUT Chicken Korma RECIPE

Korma is a dish originating in the Indian subcontinent consisting of meat or vegetables braised with yogurt or cream.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken- 250 grams
  2. Onion - 1 chopped
  3. Tomato-1 (grinded)
  4. Ginger/garlic/green chilli paste - 3 tablespoons
  5. Coriander/cumin powder-2 tablespoons
  6. Lemon juice- 1 tablespoon
  7. Yogurt- 3 tablespoons
  8. Red chilli powder- 1 tablespoon
  9. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tablespoon
  10. Brown onion-1 (grinded) & some for garnishing
  11. Whole spices - 1/2 tablespoon black pepper corns and 1 bay leaf
  12. Salt- as per taste
  13. Cilantro- For garnishing
  14. Oil -2 tablespoons
  15. Water- 1 cup or as needed

Instructions

  1. Add oil in a wok, then add whole spices, put onions, saute it till the onion gets brown in colour.
  2. Than add the chicken, let it cook for 6-7 minutes, add grounded tomato ginger garlic paste and all the spices. Add yogurt, mix it well, let it simmer until the oil starts separating and the masala is cooked.
  3. Add water, let the chicken cook until its done. After the chicken is cooked add the grounded brown onions put lemon juice, garnish it with cilantro and some brown onions.
  4. Serve hot along with naan or paav.
