ABOUT Sattu ka Paratha RECIPE

It is traditionally found in Bihar. Sattu has a great nutritional value in it which is very healthy for our health also. The aromatic flavour of this paratha makes you feel like heaven in your mouth, so here is the recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1 kilogram of wheat flour or maida ( Iprefer wheat flour)
  2. oil for frying
  3. 4 tablespoon oil for kneading a dough
  4. 500 grams of sattu
  5. 5 big onion chopped
  6. 1 whole garlic chopped
  7. 3 green chillies chopped
  8. 1 teaspoon of ajwain
  9. 1 teaspoon of black jeera
  10. 1 lemon juice
  11. 1 piece of mango pickle
  12. salt for taste


  1. Take sattu in a large bowl, now add onion, garlic, green chillies, ajwain, black jeera, one piece of mango pickle, lemon juice, salt as per taste, oil 2 tablespoon and mix it. If required add little water, make a dough and keep aside.
  2. In a separate bowl make a dough of wheat flour with salt, oil and water.
  3. In a wok heat oil and with the help of rolling pin, make round puris with the filling of sattu mixture and fry.
  4. Serve with mashed potato and raw onion.
