ABOUT Sandesh Panna Cotta RECIPE

Sandesh panna cotta is a fusion between Bengali Sandesh and Italian panna cotta.This is succulent and rich dessert with the creamy taste of paneer, milk and aromatic flavor of saffron. Simple and easy to make dessert with hardly any cooking. Sandesh Panna cotta definitely becomes Show stopper of any gathering.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/3 cup : Fresh soft Paneer(preferably homemade)
  2. 1/4 cup : Milk powder
  3. 1/3 cup : Castor sugar
  4. 1/2 cup : full fat Milk
  5. 1/4 cup : Heavy Cream
  6. 2 big pinches : Saffron strands
  7. 2 tsp : unflavored Gelatin
  8. Chopped pistachios for garnish(optional)

Instructions

  1. Grease four silicon molds or bowls with flavorless oil and set aside.
  2. In a bowl add fresh paneer, milk powder, sugar and mix thoroughly until smooth.
  3. To a saucepan add cream, milk, and saffron. Bring this to a gentle simmer and add unflavored gelatin.
  4. Whisk until gelatin melts. Turn off and cool it slightly.
  5. Sieve the cream gelatin mixture and stir this to the paneer milk powder mix.
  6. Whisk and combine until everything blends well.
  7. Pour the panna cotta mixture into silicon moulds and refrigerate for two hours or more until set.
  8. Later unmould the sandesh panna cotta, garnish with chopped nuts to preference and serve.
  9. Sandesh Panna cotta, goodness in every bite is ready to Indulge.
