Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Peeled potato 3 large
  2. Arrowroot 2 tbsp
  3. Maida 2 tbsp
  4. Rice flour 1 tbsp
  5. Orange red food colour pinch
  6. Red chilli powder 1/2 tspn
  7. Chopped spring onions 1 tbsp
  8. Honey 1 tbsp
  9. Finely chopped Onions 1 medium
  10. Oil 2 tspn for sauce
  11. Salt 1/2 tspn
  12. Soya sauce 1 tspn
  13. Vinegar 1 tspn
  14. Red chilli sauce 1 tbsp
  15. Tomato Sauce 2 tbsp
  16. Sesame seeds 1/2 tspn
  17. Salt to taste
  18. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut potatoes just like you cut it for French fries.
  2. Wash it and soak in cold water for 10 minutes. Drain and pat dry it.
  3. Meanwhile in a bowl, add rice flour, maida, arrowroot, food colour, salt, red chilli powder and few drops of water. Mix it.
  4. Add potatoes in the bowl and mix it properly so that mixture coats evenly on potatoes.
  5. Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  6. Deep fry it in batches on medium- high flame so that potatoes turn crispy.
  7. For sauce:
  8. Heat 2 tspn oil in a wok add finely chopped onions. Saute for few seconds. It should remain crunchy.
  9. Add soya sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar, salt and red chilli sauce. Stir.
  10. Add 1 tbsp honey and stir.
  11. Add fried potatoes and mix everything well.
  12. Turn off the flame and sprinkle sesame seeds. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
