ABOUT Rava Ladoo/Semolina RECIPE

Rava Ladoo is a sweet dish mostly prepared during occasions. It is easy to make and can be consumed by all age groups. Kids are also fond of Ladoos.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 cup freshly grated coconut
  2. 2 cups rava/suji
  3. 1 cup mava
  4. 1 cup sugar
  5. 4 tblspn ghee
  6. 1 teaspoon cardamom (elaichi) powder
  7. 2-3 teaspoon of milk
  8. few dryfruits according to your choice ( I used cashewnuts,almonds and raisins)

Instructions

  1. In a pan add ghee till rava turns golden brown.
  2. Remove the rava in a separate vessel or plate.
  3. In a same pan add coconut, sugar, mava and mix well.
  4. Cook till the sugar mixes well with the other ingredients.
  5. Turn off the gas and add cooked rava to the mixture.
  6. Add elaichi and dry fruits then mix well.
  7. If you feel the mixture is too dry then add 2-3 teaspoons milk.
  8. Transfer the mixture into a thali and wait till it cools.
  9. Once the mixture is cool, divide it into equal portions shape each portion in between your palms into a round ladoo.
  10. Store in an air-tight container.
