ABOUT Baked Dudhi Ball RECIPE

In this recipe the balls made in form of rasgullas are extremely healthy and soft. The mixture of Khoya, Kaju and Rice paste makes it blend into the milk mixture, creating a unique and mouthwatering sweet dish. This recipe is usually made using coconut milk in Odisha but today I innovated a new fusion recipe using cow's milk only. It is a must try recipe for all types of occasions.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Milk- 2 1/2 cup
  2. Govindabhog rice- 1/2 cup (soak for 2 hours, then grind into thick paste)
  3. Noren gud - 3 teaspoon ( to taste)
  4. Salt - 1 pinch
  5. Tej Pata(Bay leaf) - 1
  6. Cardamom- 2
  7. Kaju (Cashew)- 10 pieces for powder
  8. Khoya - 2 tablespoon
  9. Garnish sliced pistachio

Instructions

  1. For balls:
  2. Combine half Govindabhog rice paste, Kaju powder and Khoya (Mawa) thoroughly. In a pan heat half cup milk and add this mixture. Keep on the fire stirring constantly, till mixture thickens and leave the sides of the pan.
  3. Then make into 40 (Grape) size balls with wet palm and keep aside.
  4. Method:
  5. Heat milk with bay leaf and cardamom. Then add rest of rice paste, salt (one pinch) and keep stirring till it thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon. Add balls, noren gud and cook for three minutes.
  6. Then take a greased oven proof dish and bake in it for 10 mins at 200 degrees celsius. Garnish with pistachio. Ready to serve hot or cold any time.
