Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cashewnut-1 Cup
  2. Sugar-1/2 Cup
  3. Ghee-2 tablespoon
  4. cardamom Powder- a pinch
  5. Water-1/4 cup


  1. Take the cashews in a dry mixie jar, using the whipper button, powder it.
  2. Dont run the mixie in normal button. It will form as a paste, we need dry powder only.
  3.  In a non stick pan or a heavy bottomed kadai like Calcutta Vaanali.
  4. Take water, add sugar. Let the sugar dissolve fully.
  5. No need to get consistency. Just a thick syrup.
  6. Now add the cashew powder, keep stirring. Stir that it doesn't form any lumps.
  7. When it thickens, add the ghee too. Add cardamom powder. Keep stirring all the time.
  8. When it leaves the side of the pan, off the stove and transfer to a greased plate.
  9. Let it rest for few minutes, once it warms down, knead well with your palms.
  10. Keep it on a butter paper or a greased sheet, with a roti pin, roll it into little thick chapathi.
  11. Using a sharp knife, cut into diamonds. Serve your family, friends and relish it.
  12. Sweet shops decorate with silver varq-foil, I dont prefer it.
  13. Kaju Katli is ready.
