About Chocolate Mousse Recipe

This is my first try at a chocolate mousse after I entered the world of baking!

Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients to make Chocolate Mousse

  • Amul milk chocolate 250 gms
  • 1 small pack of Amul cream
  • 2 tbsp salted butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup whipped cream (sweetened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp Hershey's coco powder
  • Hershey's chocolate sauce

How to make Chocolate Mousse

  1. Melt the chocolate and butter in a microwave safe bowl. Stir in together.
  2. Separate the egg yolks. Keep aside. Whip the egg whites till you get nice stiff peaks.
  3. In the melted chocolate add in the egg yolks.
  4. Keep stirring, I was doing it by a spatula. Add in the vanilla essence.
  5. Beat the cream till it thickens. I was using sweetened chocolate so I don't add sugar here.
  6. Combine the cream with chocolate and mix well. Add in the coco powder.
  7. Lastly now add in the egg whites. There might be some white streaks but it's perfectly fine.
  8. Pour in individual mugs or cups. Keep in refrigerator for at least an hour, here the longer you keep the better it sets.
  9. Put a dallop of whipped cream before serving along with some chocolate sauce.

My Tip:

Chill it as long as possible.
