Chocolate cupcakes with molten mango lava cream oozing out from inside is a heavenly treat. It is a perfect way to surprise your kids as well.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour or Wholewheat flour 1/4 cup
  2. Cocoa powder 1/4 cup
  3. Baking powder 1/4 teaspoon
  4. salt a pinch
  5. butter 1/2 cup
  6. egg 1
  7. sugar 1/2 cup
  8. For the mango lava filling:
  9. mango pulp 1/2 cup
  10. Corn flour 2 teaspoon
  11. sugar 2 tablespoon
  12. Milk 3/4 cup
  13. egg yolk 1
  14. water 1-2 tablespoon


  1. For the chocolate cupcakes, sieve together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.
  2. Whisk the butter and sugar.
  3. Add in the whisked eggs to it.
  4. Now fold the flour mixture into the egg mixture, until mixed well.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180 degree centigrade.
  6. Line the cupcake tins with butter and pour in the cake batter till 3/4th of the moulds.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow them to cool.
  8. For the mango lava, first boil milk.
  9. Mix together the corn flour, sugar, egg yolk and water in another bowl.
  10. Add this mixture to the boiling milk and mix well to form a thick paste.
  11. Now add in the mango pulp too and cook, until it forms a thick cream. Allow it to cool.
  12. Now inject the mango cream into the center of the chocolate cupcakes with a cupcake injector.
