This katori chaat is liked by very almost every kid and is great during kids party. This recipe of katori chaat here is baked version.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. All purpose flour: 1 cup
  2. Curd or milk : 1/2 cup( for kneading)
  3. Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Ajwain: 1 teaspoon
  5. Oil: 1 teaspoon for flour
  6. Oil: for brushing
  7. Potato : 1 big sized
  8. Water: 1 cup for boiling potato
  9. Onion: 1/2 cup fine chopped
  10. Tomato: 1/2 cup fine chopped
  11. Cumin seeds powder: 1 teaspoon
  12. Chaat masala: 2 teaspoon
  13. Sugar :1 teaspoon
  14. Green chatani: 1/4 cup
  15. Red sweet sour chutney: 1 /4 cup
  16. Curd: 1/4 cup ( for chaat)
  17. Pomegranate seeds: for garnishing
  18. Green coriander leaves: for garnishing
  19. Haldiram bhujia: for garnishing


  1. First we make katori. For that we take all purpose flour in bowl. Add salt, ajwain, oil and mix well. Now knead using milk or curd and make a tight dough.
  2. When dough is ready, keep it aside covered with a wet towel for 20 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, take potatos, wash it properly and put it in pressure cooker. Put 1 cup water and cover with its lid, switch on gas and wait for its vessel. When it is done, switch off gas.
  4. Now take dough again knead it for 2 - 3 minutes. Divide it in 8 equal size balls. Take one ball, roll it round just like puri. Thickness should also be like puri. Repeat same process with other dough balls.
  5. Meanwhile preheat the oven at 200 degree centigrade for 10 mintues.
  6. Now take a muffins tray. Keep cavity side of muffins down. Now put rolled Puri on muffins tray cavity base side and make it stick using fingers so it forms like katori. Repeat same process with other Puri also. Brush all katori with oil.Take a fork and prick on base of each katori
  7. Put muffins tray inside the oven and bake it for 10 - 12 mintues. Take it out from oven and separate all katori from muffins tray. Keep it side.
  8. Now take potato. Peel it and cut it into small pieces. Keep it side.
  9. Take curd, add sugar and 1/2 tsp chaat masala. And mix well.
  10. Now assemblling time. Take a serving tray, keep all katori over tray. Put 4- 5 pieces of potato in each katori. Put few pieces of oninon and tomato. Put one spoon of curd mixture in every katori. Sprinkle cumin powder. Put on spoon of green chutney and red sweet sour chatney in each katori. Again put curd mixture over each katori. Sprinkle green coriander leaves in each katori. Put few pomegranate seeds in each katori add haldiram bhujia.
  11. Now serve with smile.
