Ingredients to make Lapsi

  • Broken wheat /daliya-1cup /100gm
  • ghee-4tbsp
  • sugar/jeggery -grated 2cup/150-200 gm , or according to taste
  •  cardamom powder-1/2tsp
  • nuts and dried fruits(kashew ,almond raisins ) chopped optional
  • Hot water-1+1/2glass

How to make Lapsi

  1. Heat ghee in a non stick pan on medium low heat.
  2.  ,add dalia /broken wheat and sautee for 2-3 minutes until dark brown in color and spread a nutty aroma .
  3. Meanwhile add hot water in jeggery to make it melted fast
  4. Now low the flame and add water stir continuously
  5. Let lapsi cook for 10 minutes until the water has evaporated and lapsi starts to leave the sides of the pan
  6. Add cardamom powder cook for 2 -3minutes until dry . Switch off the flame
  7. Add some chopped nuts mix well and keep aside allow to cool Garnish with some chopped nuts n serve hot or refrigerate for 1 or 1/2 hour ....

My Tip:

U may cook this in pressure cooker to make it faster
