ABOUT Churma RECIPE

This delicious churma is a Rajasthani and is usually served with Dal-Bati.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups atta/whole wheat flour
  2. 1/2 cup semolina/sooji
  3. about 1/2 cup water
  4. 1/2 cup melted ghee
  5. 2/3 cup powdered sugar (can add more or less acc to taste)
  6. 4-8 almonds ground coarsely or slivered
  7. 2 green cardamoms(remove seeds and crush discard husk)
  8. ghee for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Take a large bowl and add atta, semolina and melted ghee.Mix well and slowly add water while kneading to make a stiff dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 8-10 pieces or balls.Heat ghee in a deep pan and fry the balls or pieces on a slow fire until golden brown.
  3. Put in a plate and allow to cool.Now grind in a blender to make coarse powder.
  4. Add sugar,almonds and cardamom seeds, mix well and serve.
