Kids love " Vada Paav". So why not make Vada which serve them benefits of Protein with their favourite Patato taste ? So here I have stuffed Vada with brown Chana and Moong Sprouts. And have mixed Paneer with Potato. I also have added Peanuts which are good protein source and Sesame seeds which contains Iron, Fiber and Magnesium. I have also added Coconut which is good source of Calcium. Paneer is also a very good source of Protein and Calcium.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soaked Brown beans (chana) 150 grams
  2. Moong Sprouts 150 grams
  3. Potatoes 250 to 300 grams.
  4. Crumbled Paneer 1 cup ( homemade =
  5. Pepper powder 1 tsp
  6. Oil 1 tsp
  7. Grated Coconut 1/2 cup
  8. Roasted and ground Peanuts 1/4 Cup
  9. Sesame seeds roasted 2 tbsp
  10. Coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tbsp
  11. Garlic crushed 1 tsp
  12. Ginger grated 1 tsp
  13. Salt to taste.
  14. chilli powder 1 tsp
  15. Coriander powder 2 tsp
  16. Garam masala 1 tsp
  17. Corn flour 2 tbsp
  18. Oil 3 tsp
  19. For batter
  20. Bengal gram flour 1 cup
  21. Salt to taste
  22. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  23. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  24. Oil for deep frying.

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook Brown beans.
  2. Coarse grind moong sprouts by adding just 1 tsp water.
  3. Boil potatoes, let them cool. After cooling peel them and grate.
  4. Now heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add Moong Sprouts and saute. Sprinkle warm water in between if you find they are sticking to the pan.
  5. After 5 minutes add Chilli powder, Coriander powder, Ginger grated, Garlic grated, Garam masala. Saute for 2 minutes and turn off gas.
  6. Cool the mixture in a plate. Now crush the Brown chana with Potato masher and add to moong sprout mixture.
  7. Add Coconut, Peanuts, Sesame seeds, Coriander leaves. Mix well by adding 2 tsp oil.
  8. Grease your palms and make small balls of the mixture.
  9. Take Gram flour in a bowl. Add salt, Turmeric and chili powder. Add water and make batter.
  10. Mix boiled and Grated potatoes and Crumbled Paneer.
  11. Here is crumbled Paneer.
  12. Add salt, Turmeric and pepper to the grated potatoes and Paneer mixture.
  13. Mix well by adding corn flour and 1 tsp oil.
  14. Now Grease your palm again and make ball of potato paneer mixture. Make a bowl like shape.
  15. Stuff the Brown beans and Moong Sprout mixture in it.
  16. Stuff properly and cover from all sides to make a big round shape.
  17. Heat oil in a pan, dip balls one by one in gram flour batter and deep fry till golden brown.
  18. Fry all your healthy vada in oil.
  19. Serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
  20. To serve your kids a little heavy sunday breakfast you can serve as a Vada Paav.
  21. Heat a griddle, butter a bun and roast it on medium flame.
  22. Serve your Vada with Bun, Chutney and Tomato ketchup.
  23. So here is your healthy Sunday breakfast for your kids.
