Corn Matar Pulav

Ingredients to make Corn Matar Pulav

  • 1 cup of Basmati rice
  • 1/2 cup of green peas
  • 1/2 cup of Sweet corn
  • 2- finely Sliced green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp finely grated ginger
  • 1- onion finely sliced
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • Pudina and coriander leaves for garnishing
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • salt as per the taste

How to make Corn Matar Pulav

  1. Soak the Basmati Rice for 1/2 hour
  2. Now cook the Basmati Rice in a Kadai and drain the water once the rice is cooked
  3. In a Kadai add little oil, jeera, green chillies,garlic, onions, green peas and corn and stir for few minutes
  4. Now add salt, red chillie powder,turmeric powder and stir for few minutes
  5. Now add the Basmati Rice in the mixture and stir so that the masala is spread out all over the rice
  6. Add in a bowl and garnish with Pudina and Coriander leaves
  7. The Corn Matar Pulav is ready to be served with Raita

My Tip:

Dont over cook the Basmati Rice Avoid stirring the vegetable mixture into the Hot Rice as the grains might get mushy and even break at times.
