Healthy soya chunks hidden with cheeze surprise for kids. It is a fun way to feed the kids with the protein and carbs they require.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup soaked and ground soya chunks
  2. 1/2 cup chopped onions
  3. 2 cloves crushed garlic
  4. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  5. 1/2 tsp green chilly paste
  6. 1 tsp cumin powder
  7. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  8. salt as per taste
  9. 1 large boiled potato
  10. 1/2 tsp crushed black pepper
  11. A pinch of asafoetida
  12. 1 cup Bread crumbs
  13. 1 tbsp refined flour (to make slurry)
  14. 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  15. 1 tbsp oil (for making mixture)
  16. 2 tbsp oil (for stir frying cutlets)
  17. 3 tbsp water (for making slurry)
  18. 1 cube of cheese


  1. Soak soya chunks in hot water for 10 mins.
  2. Squeeze the water from the chunks and grind to form a coarse paste.
  3. In a wok, add oil and the cumin seeds.
  4. When the cumin seeds splutter, add garlic, onion and green chillies.
  5. When the onion gets translucent, add all the dry spices and mix well. Let it cook for a minute.
  6. Add ground soya chunks and cook for a while.
  7. Now add boiled potato and coriander leaves and mix well. Cook for a minute and let the mixture cool.
  8. Once the mixture is cooled, make desired shape of the mixture and fill it with cheese cube and dip in the slurry of refined flour and transfer it in a plate of dried bread crumbs.
  9. Shallow fry the cutlets and serve hot to the kiddies with their desired sauces.
