Healthy and protein packed recipe for kids. I used leftover khichri, veggies, and suji for these healthy kids appetizer.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup leftover moong dal khichdi
  2. 1 medium sized chopped onion
  3. 1 small orange bell pepper chopped
  4. 1 small green capsicum chopped
  5. 1 tsp Grated Ginger
  6. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  7. Spices
  8. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  10. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 1 tsp cumin powder
  13. 1/4 cup semolina for coating
  14. Oil for shallow fry. I used rice bran oil


  1. First collect all ingredients
  2. In a bowl add leftover khichdi add onions, capsicum
  3. Add bell peppers and all spices, ginger chilly paste
  4. Mix all ingredients well and make rolls out of it
  5. Coat it with semolina
  6. Heat non stick pan.. add oil add all khichdi rolls
  7. Shallow fry these rolls on medium flame.
  8. Fry it till golden brown in colour from all sides.
  9. Serve hot with your favourite sauce or ketchup.
