ABOUT Mango Malpua RECIPE

Tasty sweet treat especially for festive occasions, with the addition of mangoes that makes it even more delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Maida - 1cup
  2. Ripe mango pulp - 1 full mango
  3. Whole milk (chilled) - to make the batter
  4. Desi ghee - 2 tsp for batter and for frying
  5. Honey - 3 tsp
  6. Elaichi - 3 (crushed)
  7. For garnish: Fresh cream Small mango slices

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, take maida, ghee and mix properly.
  2. Add honey and give a firm mix.
  3. Slowly add chilled milk and keep mixing to form the batter of paste like consistency.
  4. Add mango pulp and crushed elaichi in the batter. Give it a good stir so that no lumps are formed.
  5. Let the batter rest covered for 2-3 hours.
  6. After 3 hours, heat desi ghee in a kadhai.
  7. Once the ghee is completely heated, put on low flame and add the batter slowly to form a round poori like shape.
  8. Fry on low flame from both sides until golden brown.
  9. Garnish with fresh cream and mango slices.
  10. Serve hot.
