ABOUT Egg Toast - Chinese Style RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Onion sliced 1 tablespoon
  2. Capsicum sliced 1 tablespoon
  3. Carrot thinly diced 1 tablespoon
  4. 2 slices of brown bread
  5. 1 egg
  6. butter
  7. Soy sauce 1 tsp
  8. Green chili sauce 1 tsp
  9. Tomato chilly sauce 1 tsp
  10. 1/4 tsp vinegar
  11. Salt and pepper to taste
  12. oil

Instructions

  1. Take a wok and add little oil for sauteing onion, once onion becomes translucent add capsicum and carrots. Saute them for 2-3 minutes. Add pinch of salt. Note sauces will have its own salt so do not add more
  2. Add Vinegar and sauces and mix them well. Switch off the flame
  3. In a bowl add 1 egg , salt and pepper and beat it well. To this add the saucy mixture and mix well
  4. Take 2 slices of brown bread and butter it
  5. Take a nonstick pan and pour the egg mixture in shape of bread, before the egg gets cooked drop the bread on it and press firmly. Once the egg is done, flip it so that other side gets toasted too. Repeat it for the second slice too. Garnish it with Cheese and serve hot
