ABOUT cornflakes rava idli RECIPE

a very healthy and instant recipe made with cornflakes, semolina and curd. perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup rava (semolina/suji)
  2. 1/2 cup curd
  3. 2 tbsp roughly crushed cornflakes
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Water as required
  6. 1 tsp eno
  7. 1 tsp oil
  8. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  9. 4-5 Curry Leaves
  10. extra cornflakes for topping

Instructions

  1. in a bowl mix rava, curd, salt and water. make an idli like batter and keep aside for 5 minutes.
  2. heat oil in a tadka pan.. add mustard seeds and curry leaves. switch off the flame and add this tempering to the batter.
  3. add crushed cornflakes and mix well.
  4. heat water in a steamer.
  5. grease the ildi moulds with oil.
  6. add eno to the batter and mix. pour this batter in greased idli moulds.
  7. sprinkle cornflakes and place the idli stand in the steamer. steam for 10-12 minutes.
  8. remove the stand from steamer and allow it to cool for 2-3 minutes.
  9. remove idlis and serve with coconut chutney.
