ABOUT Masala Puri RECIPE

This is a delicious recipe for beautiful golden brown puffed up Puris made with multigrain flour/atta,served with accompaniments of choice!Check out the recipe!

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup Aashirvaad Aata with Multigrains
  2. 1 1/2 Tsp Salt
  3. 1 tsp Carom seeds (Ajwain)
  4. 1 tsp Kasuri Methi
  5. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
  6. /2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  7. 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder (Dhaniya)
  8. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  9. 2 tbsp Oil
  10. Oil for frying
  11. Water to knead the dough

Instructions

  1. Add all dry ingredients to the flour and mix well.Add the 1 tbsp oil and blend with the flour.Mix enough water and knead into a stiff dough.
  2. Mix the dough with the remaining 1 tbsp oil and keep aside for 20 – 30 minutes till the dough swells up and “sets”.
  3. Divide into 9 – 11 equal sized portions and roll into balls.Flatten them.
  4. Heat the oil on low heat in a pan.Dip each flattened ball into the oil and roll into Puris.
  5. Increase heat and deep fry Puris till puffed up and golden brown.
  6. Serve with a subzi of your choice,yogurt and coriander-mint chutney.
