Home made buns stuffed with masala and boiled egg

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. maida 2 cup
  2. Milk 3/4cup
  3. sugar 1 tablespoon
  4. egg white 1 beaten
  5. Boiled eggs 4
  6. yeast 2 teaspoon
  7. butter melted 1 tablespoon
  8. onion 1 cup sliced
  9. chilli 2 teaspoon finely chopped
  10. turmeric powder 1/2teaspoon
  11. pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  12. garam masala half teaspoon
  13. coriander leaves
  14. curry leaves
  15. Cooking oil


  1. In a bowl add warm milk ,sugar, melted butter and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes to proof.
  2. Add egg whites and mix well.
  3. Add maida to yeast mixture to make dough and knead well. Transfer this to a greased bowl and place in a warm place to make the dough double its size.
  4. In a pan add oil . When it heats add onion chilli and saute it well.
  5. Add garam masala turmeric powder peper powder to this .
  6. Turn off the flame and add coriander leaves curry leaves.
  7. Dump the fermented dough into a surface and cut into even sized large balls. Make puris of medium size with 1/4 inch out of it. Let it raise again .
  8. Place masala and half of the boiled egg on one side the puri . Fold it tightly so that the edges are sealed. Let it sit for another 5 minutes.
  9. Transfer the buns to a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes at 190 degrees. Brush the surface with butter.
  10. Serve with tomato sauce.
