Ingredients to make Thai style Raw Papaya Roasti with hung curd Dip & Raw Papaya and raw mango Coleslaw Salad

  • Raw papaya grated half piece(big one )
  • 1 medium sized potato
  • Sweet potatoes grated half cup
  • Raw bananas grated half cup
  • 1 teaspooon salt
  • 1 tablespoon thai red curry paste
  • 2 tsp coarse powdered peanuts
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • green chillies finely chopped 1
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp Chaat masala
  • dhania jeera powder 1tsp
  • 2 -3 tablespoons maida
  • 1/2 bunch of chopped coriander (roots, stems and leaves)
  • oil for shallow frying

How to make Thai style Raw Papaya Roasti with hung curd Dip & Raw Papaya and raw mango Coleslaw Salad

  1. Par boil potato, sweet potato & raw banana first & then grate later on upon cooling
  2. Grate raw papaya in bowl.
  3. Stir in the salt and then squeeze out the extra moisture.
  4. Now add parboiled & grated potato, sweet potato & banana into same bowl.
  5. Stir in red thai curry paste, maida and coriander.
  6. Mix in all other spices.
  7. Test the taste.
  8. Shape mixture into small patties
  9. place on a tray to refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  10. Take out and roll patties with ur palms into small chapati shape but little thicker than chapati.
  11. Heat the oil in a large non stick tawa.
  12. cook the rosti one by one, until browned and heated through.
  13. For dipping sauce :
  14. peel cucumber and chop into small pieces.
  15. In a pan add the water, vingear and sugar – warm it till sugar dissolves.
  16. Stir in cucumber pieces.
  17. Let it soften a bit then add hung curd and chat masala powder
  18. Serve the rosti with dipping sauce and chilled coleslaw salad of grated raw papaya + raw mango
