Ingredients to make Fish cutlets

  • Rohu/Katla fish - 500 gm
  • potatoes - 6
  • Chopped onions -2
  • Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
  • Chopped green chillies - 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  • red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Fried ground nuts - 1/4 th cup
  • Refined oil
  • salt
  • Outer coating :
  • Bread crumbs
  • egg whites

How to make Fish cutlets

  1. Boil the fish and potatoes together in a pressure cooker, cool and mash them together, add some salt and mix. make sure that there are no fish bones in it. Keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic and chillies. Once they start smelling, add the chopped onions.
  3. Fry till golden brown and add the ginger garlic paste and masalas. Add the mashed potato - fish mixture. Cook till done.
  4. Add the fried groundnuts and cool the mixture.
  5. Shape the mixture into small patties. Coat them with egg whites and bread crumbs. Deep fry them in hot oil to serve.
