Chili corn chat is very much suitable for any kind of house parties because they are loved by everyone whether kids or even adults.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 250 grams american boiled corns
  2. 2 tbsp cornflour powder
  3. 1 tbsp All Purpose Flour
  4. oil for deep fry
  5. 2 medium sized Onions(Thinly sliced onions)
  6. 1 small sized onion(chopped for garnishing)
  7. Coriander leaves (finely chopped for garnishing)
  8. 2 capsicums(thinly sliced)
  9. 4 to 5 garlic cloves(crushed)
  10. 2 green chilies(finely chopped)(optional)
  11. salt as per taste
  12. 1 tsp dry mango powder
  13. 1/2 tsp red chili powder(optional)
  14. Black pepper powder as per taste
  15. 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  16. 1 tsp chili garlic sauce(i have used fun foods brand)
  17. Lemons for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Firstly take a bowl add boiled corns in it
  2. Now add cornflour powder,all purpose flour and some salt in the bowl.
  3. Mix the powders and corns together.
  4. Coat the corns properly.
  5. Take a wok add oil for deep frying
  6. Heat the oil
  7. Add the coated corns in the hot oil in batches.
  8. When the corns will start changing its color ,it means they are done
  9. Now place the fried corns on an absorbent paper.
  10. Do the same process with the remaining coated corns
  11. Now take again a small wok and add 2 tsp oil
  12. Heat it up
  13. Add sliced onions and capsicum in it.
  14. Now add salt,green chilies,garlic,red chili powder and dry mango powder.
  15. Stir it very well.
  16. Now when the onions and capsicum has turned little crispy ,slow down the flame and add tomato ketchup ,pepper powder and chili garlic sauce.
  17. Stir it for more 1 minute and switch off the flame.
  18. Take the fried corns and mix them in the wok.
  19. Sprinkle coriander and some raw chopped onion on the corns .
  20. Garnish it with lemon wedeges
  21. Your chili corn chaat is ready to enjoy.

Can we put just boiled/ sauteed corns without deep frying
