Ingredients to make Home Style Chicken Biryani

  • chicken 250g
  • Basmati rice 2 cups
  • Marinate:
  • curd 1/4 cup
  • turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt 1 teaspoon
  • red chilly powder 1 teaspoon
  • Biriyani
  • Small cardamom 4-5
  • Big cardamom 1
  • clove 5-6
  • cinnamon stick 2 inch
  • bay leaf 1
  • onion 2, chopped
  • tomato 2, chopped
  • ginger 2 inch, grated
  • Garlic 5-6 clove, grated
  • Green chilies 3-4, slited
  • coriander powder 2 tablespoon
  • cumin powder 1 teaspoon
  • Biriyani masala 1 teaspoon
  • Dried mint leaves 1 teaspoon
  • salt and sugar as per taste
  • curd 1/4 cup
  • Refined oil

How to make Home Style Chicken Biryani

  1. MARINATE 500 GMS CHICKEN WITH 3-4 TBSP CURD, 1 TSP EACH OF SALT, TURMERIC AND CHILLI POWDER FOR 30 MINS
  2. HEAT 4-5 TSP OIL. ADD 1 TSP WHOLE GARAM MASALA AND 2 BAY LEAVES
  3. ADD 2 CHOPPED ONIONS
  4. SAUTE THE ONIONS TILL THEY ARE TRANSLUCENT
  5. ADD 1 TBSP GRATED GINGER
  6. ADD 1 TBSP GRATED GARLIC
  7. ADD 2 TBSP CHOPPED TOMATOES AND 2 SLICED CHILLIES
  8. ADD 1 TBSP EACH OF CORIANDER, CUMIN, CHILLI AND GARAM MASALA POWDER
  9. ADD SALT AND SUGAR AS PER TASTE
  10. ADD 1 TSP TURMERIC POWDER. MIX WELL.
  11. POUR IN 1/2 CUP CURD
  12. ADD THE MARINATED CHICKEN. STIR WELL.
  13. ADD 2 CUPS OF RICE WITH 2 AND 1/2 CUP OF WATER
  14. PRESSURE COOK TILL 3 WHISTLES BLOW
  15. IT'S READY TO BE SERVED!
