ABOUT DRY DAL RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Dhuli moong dal 1 cup
  2. Oil 1 tbsp
  3. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  4. Salt 1 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder 1/3 tsp
  6. Water 1 cup
  7. Onion 1
  8. Tomato 1
  9. Green chili 2
  10. Green coriander leaves
  11. Lemon juice 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. SOAK DHULI MOONG DAL FOR 2 HRS THEN WASH AND DRAIN IT
  2. HEAT 1 TBSP OIL IN A PAN, ADD 1/2 TSP CUMIN SEEDS
  3. AS THE CUMIN SEEDS START TO CRACKLE, ADD THE MOONG DAL
  4. ADD 1 CUP WATER
  5. ADD SALT TO TASTE AND 1/3 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  6. MIX WELL
  7. GIVE A BOIL, COOK COVERED ON SIM FOR 8- 9 MINS
  8. NOW THE DAL WILL BE DRY AND SOFT, TAKE OFF HEAT
  9. ADD 1 CHOPPED ONION, 1 CHOPPED TOMATO, 2 CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES AND SOME CORIANDER LEAVES. SPRINKLE 1 TBSP LEMON JUICE
  10. MIX WELL. DRY DAL IS READY TO SERVE.
