Dum ka Gobhi

Ingredients to make Dum ka Gobhi

  • 500 grm cauliflower
  • 1/2 cup whisk curd
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/4 Cup cream
  • 1/4 tsp termeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp roasted corriender seeds powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • PINCH OF nutmeg POWDER
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/4 cup onion paste
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp green chilli paste
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 2 tsp fresh corriender chopped
  • wheat flour dough to cover the pan lid
  • 2 tsp honey
  • extra fresh corriender for garnish

How to make Dum ka Gobhi

  1. Take a deep heavy pan add oil and butter in it,now add onion paste in it,saute it for a min.now add cauliflower florets in it and mix.
  2. Now add curd,ginger,garlic paste,tomato puree,termeric powder,green and red chilli and mix well.
  3. At same time add,roasted cumin and corriender seeds,garam masala,nutmeg powder,black pepper powder and mix well.
  4. Add milk and salt also in it.
  5. Add all remaning ingridients,except honey and cream mix well.
  6. Now cover the lid with dough for 20 min or till you think that cauliflower cooked.
  7. Keep flame on low to medium.
  8. Now open the pot lid carefully,finish it with fresh cream and honey and switch of gas.
  9. sprinkle fresh corriender over it for garnish and serve this hot with Tandori chappati or steamed rice for inhance it's taste.

My Tip:

Don't open the lid till it cauliflower flower completely cook.Cook in low to medium flame.
