HONEY ALMOND BISCOTTI WITH HONEY-CHILLI GLAZE

ABOUT HONEY ALMOND BISCOTTI WITH HONEY-CHILLI GLAZE RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 9

  1. 1/2 Cup Butter
  2. 3/4cup honey
  3. 2eggs
  4. 1tsp Vanilla Extract
  5. 3-1/2 cups all purpose flour
  6. 2tsp of ground cinnamon
  7. 2tsp anise seeds powder
  8. 1/2tsp baking powder
  9. 1/2tsp salt
  10. 1/4tsp Baking soda
  11. 1 cup dried cranberries
  12. 1/2 cup almonds
  13. For Glaze
  14. 1tbsp unsalted butter
  15. 2tbsp honey
  16. 2tbsp Sugar
  17. 2tsp chilli flakes

Instructions

  1. Using electric mixer, beat butter until light
  2. gradually add honey, eggs and vanilla, beating until smooth.
  3. In small bowl, combine flour, aniseseeds, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and baking soda
  4. Add to honey mixture, mixing well.
  5. Stir in cranberries and almonds.
  6. Shape dough into two 10x3x1-inch logs on greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 180c for 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven to wire rack; cool 5 minutes.
  9. Reduce oven to 170c .
  10. Transfer logs to cutting board. Cut each log into 1/2-inch slices and arrange on baking sheet.
  11. Bake for another 20 minutes or until crisp.
  12. Cool on wire racks.
  13. For Glaze Put all the ingredients in the pan and bring to boil.
  14. Stir on low heat for 5 minutes and switch off the flame.
  15. Drizzle over the biscottis and let it set.
