Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Suji 1/2 cup
  2. Ghee 3 tsp
  3. Apple grated 1 cup
  4. Milk 1.25 cups plus 1 tbsp
  5. Honey 3 tbsp
  6. Elaichi powder 1 tsp
  7. Butterscotch essence 1 tsp
  8. Butterscotch to sprinkle
  9. Saffron 5-6 strands
  10. Dry fruits to garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp milk and dissolve saffron strands in it. Keep aside
  2. Heat ghee in a nonstick kadhai. Add suji and keep stirring till it changes colour to light pink Brown.
  3. In another pan, heat milk and add the grated Apple to it. Do not boil.
  4. Turn flame to low, and now slowly add the hot milk to the suji and keep stirring to prevent lump formation.
  5. Add butterscotch essence and elaichi powder with saffron. Add honey (do all this while there is milk left and not all of it is absorbed by the suji)
  6. Keep stirring till mixture leaves sides of pan.
  7. Turn off the gas and add dry fruits of your choice.
  8. After it is slightly cool, add butterscotch. (to prevent it from melting)
