A Cloverleaf roll is an American type of bread roll consisting of three separate sections.It is named after the leaf of the clover plant, which has three lobes.They are made by placing three small balls of dough in the cups of a muffin tin; as the dough proofs and bakes, the cloverleaf pattern is formed.After baking, they are easily pulled apart

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup all purposes flour
  2. 1/4 cup water
  3. 1/4 cup Milk
  4. 1/2 tablepoon dry active yeast
  5. 1 teaspoon sugar
  6. 2 teaspoon honey
  7. 3 tablespoon butter
  8. Pinch of salt
  9. For glaze-
  10. 2 teaspoon butter
  11. 2 teaspoon honey
  12. For Tengzhong
  13. 1/8 cup all purposes flour
  14. 1/3 cup Milk

Instructions

  1. How to make Tenzhong Mix apf and milk in nonstick pan .make sure that mixture is lumpfree.on the gas and continuously stir it till you found dough type consistency.let it cool slightly and cover it with cling film
  2. In 1/4 cup water mix sugar and yeast and let it stand fir 5 milk.when mixture is frothy stir it and its ready to use.
  3. In a big bowl mix the flour , honey,butter ,yeast,salt and tenzhong until combined.add the milkand knead until a dough begins to form, about 1 minute. Continue to knead the dough until it is smooth and comes away from the sides of the bowl, about 10 minutes.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead briefly to form a smooth ball. The dough might appear slightly sticky, but don't add more flour while you are kneading. Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm, draft-free area until it has doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
  6. Brush a 9-cup muffin tin with 1 tablespoon of the melted butter. Punch down the dough on a lightly floured work surface. Divide the dough into 27 equal pieces. Place 3 balls, seam side down, in each muffin cup . And let it rest for 20 minutes for second rise.
  7. .mix butter and honey and brush over it lightly and bake it in pre heated oven for 20 min.
  8. Lastly coat it with remaining butter and honey mixture and let it cool on wire rack .Enjoy
