ABOUT Frozen Mango Ice Tea RECIPE

Tea is a basic need for everyone, and in summers we also crave for something cool. Let us make a combination of these.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 cup mango pulp
  2. 1 teaspoon green tea
  3. 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  4. 3 teaspoon honey
  5. 1/2 teaspoon roasted powdered black cumin seeds (bhuna jeera)
  6. 1 teaspoon black salt
  7. 1 teaspoon sugar
  8. tulsi leaves

Instructions

  1. FIlter the mango pulp in half a cup of water. Ensure that the mango fibres are completely removed.
  2. Add black salt and sugar in it, and heat it for a while.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool down.
  4. Place the mixture in ice tray and keep it in freezer.
  5. Boil about 250 ml water in a pan.
  6. Turn off the gas and add green tea into it. Cover the pan with a lid.
  7. After the green tea solution cools down, add honey, powdered black cumin seeds and lemon juice in it. Mix it well.
  8. Filter the mixture with a tea channi.
  9. Keep the filtered tea in ice tray and place it in freezer.
  10. After 5-6 hours, extract tea cubes and mango cubes from ice tray. Add equal quantity of cubes in a glass. Also add 3- 4 normal ice cubes in it.
  11. Add lemon juice and tulsi leaves for better taste. Serve it well.
  12. Also, you can freeze the tea a trapezoidal glass and invert the frozen tea on top of another trapezoidal frozen tea. Refer image.
