ABOUT Drynuts honey chikki RECIPE

Chikki is traditional Indian sweet generally made with jaggery,and groundnuts. There are several different varieties of chikki and each variety of chikki is named depending upon the ingridients used. Like till chikki, peanuts chikki, chocolate chikki, dry fruits chikki. I made dry fruits chikki as its name i used dry nuts, caramelized sugar, and honey.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 cup roasted sliced almonds
  2. 1/2 cup sliced cashews
  3. 1 palm full groundnuts (without skin) cut into halves
  4. 1 cup raw brown/white sugar
  5. 1/4 cup Honey
  6. 1 tbsp butter/ ghee
  7. 1/8 th cup water
  8. 1 tsp cardamom powder
  9. FOR GARNISH
  10. Sliced pistachios

Instructions

  1. First grease baking sheet or butter paper or any plate and keep it aside. dry roast cashews and almonds..Cool it and chopped or sliced it.
  2. In a pan add sugar water and let it melt completely. Keep stirring on low medium flame else sugar will burn.
  3. Add ghee/ butter and cardamon powder and mix well. When sugar melts completely and aroma of Carmel starts coming and it becomes brown in color quickly add honey and switch of the gas.
  4. Add dry nuts peanuts mix well
  5. Pour this mixture with help of spatula over baking sheet or grease plate.. Sprinkle sliced pistachios over this mixture And make it smooth and roll it with help of rolling pin. Let it cool. Cut it in square or your desire shape. Remove it from baking sheet and keep it in airtight container in wrapping paper or butter paper so that it couldn't stick together.
  6. Your dry fruits honey chikki is ready to eat.. full of benefits and taste awesome.
